Sorbalgon alginate dressing is a sterile, single-use dressing composed of natural fibers derived from seaweed. It is designed to be fast and highly absorbent to help stop bleeding. As wound exudate is absorbed the alginate forms a gel, which assists in maintaining a moist environment to help accelerate wound healing and allows for intact removal. The gel-like surface also keeps the dressing from adhering to the wound for painless removal.
